Kate Stilitz
I am a composer, interdisciplinary artist and educator with a background in music. I explore how working across art forms can enrich the way we tell stories. My work draws on memory, imagination and observation and evolves from an emotional response to the natural world, personal histories, myths and dreams.
Hampstead Heath has been an important place for me since the days I watched the donkeys at White Stone pond as a young child. I continue to walk and sketch the heath through the seasons.
I am currently working from imagination making monotype prints and am enjoying the unpredictable nature of the process and how materials and imagery combine.
