Ant 351

Ralph Lazar

2026Paint on MDF39 x 39cm

“I release one sequentially numbered ant every day. Each hand-painted ant is sold at the price of its number, gradually forming a colony of small, individual missions. I’m interested in ants as living data: millions of tiny lives and choices combining into something purposeful, highly complex, and unstoppable.

The project began in October 2025 and now extends beyond the studio, with works being collected around the world and dispersed across London through a series of public art drops linked to the city’s cultural calendar, including a drop across the Heath for this show.”
